Ibiza prices and budget: what it costs and how to spend less
Ibiza has a reputation for being expensive, and in August it earns it: according to the IBESTAT statistics office, the average hotel night in Ibiza and Formentera was around €286 per room in August 2026, and a drink in a big club costs between €18 and €26. Even so, what you actually spend depends mostly on the month, the area and how many nights you go out: excluding flights, from about €110 per person per day to more than €500. This section gives you the numbers with a date and a source for each one.
Three guides, depending on what you need:
- To run the numbers before you book, start with how much a trip to Ibiza costs: three sample budgets for 4 and 7 days, a 2026 price list (coffee, set lunch, drink, club entry, sunbed, bus, taxi, car and ferry) and how prices change from month to month.
- On a tight budget? Ibiza on a budget has 30 tips from someone who lives here to sleep, travel, eat and go out for less, and the internet "hacks" that end in a fine.
- And for the tax you pay at your accommodation, the Ibiza tourist tax sets out the official rates by type of stay, who is exempt, when it is charged and where the much-discussed summer increase stands.
Two facts to start with: the bus costs from €1.70 paying by card (€2.40 in cash), and the tourist tax is €1 to €4 per person per night from May to October, plus VAT, with under-16s exempt. If you are going to drive, sharing the car is the biggest saving of all: in the app you can find or offer a shared car ride.
