Ibiza nightlife: clubs, sunsets and hippy markets

Ibiza's nightlife runs on a season. The big clubs open between late April and May and close between late September and mid-October; in 2026 the first openings were on the weekend of 24-26 April and the last closings around 12 October. Outside those dates the island still goes out, just on a smaller scale: bars, gigs, one-off parties and markets.

Four guides to plan your evenings:

Two facts to start with: in summer the Discobus links San Antonio, Ibiza Town, Playa d'en Bossa, Santa Eulalia and Es Canar for €2 to €5.60 a ride (cheaper by card than in cash), and in June the sun sets at around 9.20pm. To see which party is on each night, the app has a club line-up calendar, and on the blog we cover the Ibiza closing parties and plans beyond the clubs every season.

Frequently asked questions

When is the party season in Ibiza?

From late April to mid-October. The big clubs open between late April and May and close between late September and mid-October. July and August are the peak; May, June and September are the best months to go out with fewer people and better prices.

What can you do at night in Ibiza if you do not like clubs?

Watch the sunset on the west coast, browse a night market such as Las Dalias, join a village fiesta, catch a gig or have dinner in Dalt Vila and the Marina. In summer there is something on almost every night without setting foot in a club.
