Ibiza in summer: when to come, what to expect and how to plan
Summer in Ibiza runs from June to September, although the season starts stirring in late April, when hotels reopen and the clubs hold their first weekends, and winds down in mid-October. Over those months it hardly rains: according to AEMET, the Spanish met office, July averages less than one rainy day and more than 330 hours of sunshine. The sea goes from around 22°C in June to 26°C in August and stays warm through September.
What changes from month to month is the crowd and the price. June and the second half of September are the most pleasant months for most people; July and August are the busiest and dearest (in August 2026 a hotel night in Ibiza and Formentera cost €285.70 on average, according to the IBESTAT statistics office). And between 1 June and 30 September there is a daily cap on vehicles, so bringing your own car on the ferry may need a permit.
