Es Portitxol
A small pebble inlet on the north coast, enclosed by cliffs and ringed by around twenty fishermen's boathouses that make one of Ibiza's most photographed scenes. Sheltered from the swell, its water is very clean for snorkelling. There is no bar and nowhere comfortable to lie down, and the climb back up is hard work in the heat.
How to get to Es Portitxol
Leave the car near the Isla Blanca development above Sant Miquel and walk down a long, steep, shadeless path.
